SA State Shooters Union President Peter Heggie has been lobbying hard to get mandatory participation suspended in SA due to Covid and ammo shortages. We are pleased to be able to announce that SAPOL have now agreed to a suspension of the requirement from 1 st January 2022 – 30 th June 2022.
While the main reason for the suspension is Covid, the fact the sky does not fall in will also demonstrate that mandatory attendances serve no purpose and should be dropped permanently nationwide.
